Jena paradise triathlon in the Südbad

On Saturday, June 14, 2025, the Jena Südbad will become a sporting stage: Triathlon Jena e.V. invites you to the Jena Paradise Triathlon! Over 1,000 athletes will compete against each other in the disciplines of swimming, cycling and running.

Special feature: Early opening of the swimming pool
As an exception, the spa opens at 9:00 a.m. on this day - two hours earlier than usual! So bathers can enjoy the summer day to the full despite the competition. The pool is open until 19:00 and the regular admission prices apply.

Traffic & Arrival
All car access roads to the Oberaue will be closed on June 14 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. We recommend arriving by public transport, on foot or by bike. This way you can reach your destination stress-free and environmentally friendly – and avoid possible closures.

Competition times & swimming restrictions
The competitions take place between 10:30 am and 4:30 pm. During this time, swimming in the lake is only possible to a limited extent. We ask for your understanding and consideration for the athletes.

Note for those seeking peace and quiet
Due to the competition, there may be an increased number of visitors and general hustle and bustle in the pool during the day. Those who prefer a more relaxed swim can alternatively visit the Ostbad, the Schwimmparadies or the GalaxSea leisure pool.
