If you notice the smell of gas

  • Stay calm!
  • Avoid naked flames (candles, lighters, cigarettes)!
  • Do not use any electrical devices, switches, plugs, bells or telephones!
  • Open windows and doors and make sure there is a draught!
  • Close all gas taps and the main shut-off device!
  • Warn your roommates (knock – do not ring the bell) and  get out of the house!
  • Inform the 24-hour emergency service of the public utility company immediately
    at 0800 0688 886!
  • Important: phone outside the house!
  • Please also report a faint smell of gas in the house or the smell of gas on the street! You will not incur any costs even if you make a false report.

Heating and water remain cold and the house is supplied with district heating

  • &p>Check your thermostatic valves and set them to a higher level. Please note: Buildings are not usually heated at outdoor temperatures above 18°C!
  • If your heating remains cold, please inform your property management. jenawohnen tenants please use the 03641 884-488
  • In case of heating failure in buildings with heating service by Stadtwerke Energie please inform the 24-hour emergency service of Stadtwerke Jena Netze directly at 03641 688-888.
