Commitment & Sponsorship
Active in the areas of social affairs, culture and sports
We want our city to stay attractive. That is what we are working for. We want to create values that go beyond housing. By maintaining a vibrant cultural landscape, we support the sustainable development of our city. Open-mindedness, diversity and cooperation: for us, all this is part of a Jena worth living in. With our commitment to civic engagement, social affairs, culture and sports, we help shaping the way people live together in our city. Our tenants profit from attractive offers, discounts and other benefits.

Culture
jenawohnen brings culture and art into all parts of the city. In this way, interested tenants can regularly visit concerts and exhibitions directly in their neighbourhood. We support a broad range of events, from the ArenaOuvertüre to film festivals, the Kinder-Arena or the children's circus Momolo, and the programmes of the Jena theatre.
Sports
We act as a sports sponsor and primarily support young people in schools and clubs. In this way, we not only take responsibility for the health of children and young people, but also set many things in motion in the social environment. We are convinced that with sport, integration and community become a playful experience.
Social Affairs
We pay special attention to the social commitment of associations, foundations and private initiatives. Here, we often lend a hand ourselves and are happy to provide financial support. Our partners also include the Jenaer Bürgerstiftung Jena Saale-Holzland and the Bündnis für Familie (alliance for the family). Initiatives for civil courage and against right-wing extremism can always count on us.
Sponsoring of jerseys
Once again, jenawohnen is supporting the 2nd Women's Bundesliga. Also during the 2023/2024 season, the Stadtwerke Jena Gruppe logo will adorn the jerseys of the FCC women in all of their matches.
For the time being, the commitment has been agreed for the season until the summer of 2024 and is part of an overall package from the Stadtwerke Jena Group that Elf5 negotiated for Medipolis SC Jena and FC Carl Zeiss Jena.
MartinsSchmaus Foundation
jenawohnen GmbH collects donations for the non-profit "MartinsSchmaus Foundation". The housing company received the donations for the published book on the urban area in Jena Nord: "Immer im Fluss und an der Saale - Der Norden von Jena".
Jenaer Tafel
The fact that we are currently living through hard times is also noticeable with aid projects such as the food bank Jenaer Tafel. Although the Tafel is more important than ever in the current crisis situation, its very existence is threatened. We at jenawohnen are responding to the Jena Tafel's call for help. In addition to the annual donation of 1,000 euros, we donated a further 2,000 euros to the organization in 2022. Photo: Doris Weilandt
Haus EKKStein
In October 2022, the managing director of the parents' initiative for children with cancer Jena e.V., Katrin Mohrholz, accepted the donations. The donation of 325.50 euros originated from an idea of jenawohnen caretaker Ralf Raddatz.
Sponsoring of jerseys
jenawohnen is supporting the 2nd Women's Bundeslig during the 2022/2023 season. In all matches during this season, the Stadtwerke Jena Gruppe logo will adorn the jerseys of the FCC women.

Bike donations
jenawohnen GmbH was won as a partner for the procurement of old bicycles. Among abandoned bicycles in the apartment blocks, the ADFC is allowed to choose what is still in good condition in order to fix up those bicycles and give them to the residents of the communal accommodation buildings. Free swimming
In the summer of 2022, our children had great reason to be happy, as the Jena baths announced a special promotion that benefited all families in the city on the Saale: all children up to the age of 14 had the opportunity to visit the outdoor pools for free during the holidays. This was made possible thanks to support of jenawohnen.
Tenant- and district festivals
jenawohnen 2022 celebrated the summer together with its tenants and organised three large tenant parties in Lobeda, Winzerla and Jena-Nord.
After a break due to the pandemic, the beautiful tradition of good neighbourly togetherness was resumed. The celebration included colourful programmes, bouncy castles and games for the little ones, a wheel of fortune, fried sausages and ice cream. Photo: Tina Peißker
Notinsel
Again and again, children get into trouble, experience violence or feel unsafe. To offer these children a safe space, at least in the short term, we are part of Germany's largest child protection project - the Notinsel, a project of the German Child Protection Foundation Hänsel+Gretel.
When children are exposed to danger, e.g. on their way home or to school, they can find shelter in our customer and service centres as well as in the main building in the city centre.
Diaper-changing facilities
Since March 2023, jenawohnen has been listed on the map "babymap Jena" as baby-changing facility. This map serves all parents and carers as a guide to places for breastfeeding and diaper-changing. At the jenawohnen headquarters at Löbdergraben 19, we created a baby-changing facility at the beginning of 2022 that is freely accessible to everyone if needed.
