Overhead line construction: half-sided closure in Dornburger Straße

In order to renew the overhead line for the streetcars, Jena's local transport company will be carrying out further construction work in Dornburger Straße in the coming week. In the period from Tuesday, May 21 to Friday, May 24, work will be carried out in the area of the Altenburger Straße“ tram stop.

The plan is to install foundation pipes in order to erect a total of six new catenary masts. The work will take place on both sides of the footpaths. For the duration of the construction work, the city-internal lane of Dornburger Strasse will have to be closed. A detour will be signposted.

Restrictions in road and rail traffic and for the buses of the rail replacement service are not planned.
