Locomotive 26

Behind our oldest tram, there hides the former locomotive 19 of the Eisenacher tramway. It was withdrawn from service in 1975. The bi-directional railcar, built in 1929 by Bothmann in Gotha, was acquired in 1976 for the 75th anniversary of the Jena tramway. In April 1976, the renovated vehicle could be admired for the first time.

Today, the vehicle is still in the original condition of the 1930s and, with its rustic-style wooden benches, invites to a trip back to the good old days.

Locomotive 101

Like all other historic vehicles of our fleet, the Gotha-TW 101 from 1959 is cherished and maintained and is available for rides. Since the complete conversion of the Jena fleet to low-floor vehicles, the Gotha trains have disappeared from the Jena cityscape.

The TW 101 can be rented as a solo vehicle, or, of course, together with the Gotha trailer car 155 and/or the Reko trailer car 189 as a two- or three-car train.
