Despite strike call: Traffic flows in Jena and Saale-Holzland district

Despite a strike call by the trade union ver.di for local public transport in Jena and the Saale-Holzland district, traffic is currently running almost according to plan. There are currently only very minor restrictions on bus and tram services on the Jena public transport and JES Verkehrsgesellschaft lines.

The trade union ver.di had called on the employees of Jena's local public transport and JES Verkehrsgesellschaft to go on warning strike today, Thursday, February 22, from midnight to midnight. Yesterday afternoon, the union announced that it expected only a small number of employees to take part in the strike. This seems to have been the case so far.
