Naumburger Straße

Construction project

A quarter with a total of 70 apartments has been built in Naumburger Straße, of which 45 are social housing, which is managed by the association "Ein Dach für Alle". The social housing was built with subsidies from the state of Thuringia and is available to people who are in need of affordable housing. The association "EDA" has set itself the goal of preventing homelessness in Jena. The tenants are cared for by social educators and voluntary helpers and receive support, for example, regarding job opportunities or job search.

The remaining 25 apartments are freely financed and are characterized by different floor plans and apartment types. The 2- to 5-room apartments offer 64 to 136 m² of living space, some with spacious tenant gardens and common areas for all residents. In two of the houses, there are elevators and barrier-free apartments, which makes it possible for different generations to live together, even in single families.

Housing environment

Jena-Nord offers a number of special advantages as a residential neighborhood. As a tenant, you benefit here from short distances and an excellent infrastructure. To get to the city center with its wide range of gastronomic and cultural offers, you need only a few minutes by bike, tram, bus or car. But also the wild romantic landscapes of the Saale valley and the mountain peaks of the Jenzig are only a few kilometers away. The public local transport, as well as shopping facilities you can also reach in just a few minutes walk.
