"Mittendrin" in Blankenhain

Construction project

In the heart of the small town of Blankenhain, a senior housing complex with 35 rental apartments was built by autumn 2017. The building houses two 1-room apartments with 41 m², 30 two-room apartments with 38 to 65 m² and three 3-room apartments with 62 to 76 m" living space. All apartments are equipped age-appropriately and with a shower, the apartments on the first floor include a terrace.

Living separately in independent apartments, but surrounded by a supportive community that provides help when needed: many older persons appreciate this option. That's why a day care facility run by Diakonie with social services is also housed under the roof of the residential complex.

More information about our senior living facility "MIttendrin" can be found in our brochure:

Living environment

The location directly on the market is ideal: our apartments have a view of the town hall, castle or market square, and shopping facilities and cafés are just around the corner. The entire complex is barrier-free and equipped with an elevator. An open space for communal use offers room for meetings and joint activities.

The small town of Blankenhain in the Weimarer Land is surrounded by forests, meadows and rolling hills about 30 km from Jena and 20 km from Weimar and Rudolstadt. In addition to a lively club and cultural life, the „Lindenstadt“ has a lot to offer: Blankenhain Castle, built in 1150, the Pharmacy Museum or the idyllically located forest and adventure pool.
