Meeting rising electricity demand: Guided tour of the Pößneck-Ost substation
Jan 30, 2024 | Pößneck East substation | Pößneck
As part of the celebrations to mark the 700th anniversary of the city of Pößneck, Stadtwerke Jena Netze is offering an event in January.
The energy, heat and transport transition that is being pursued at the same time will lead to increasing electricity requirements in the coming years. The demands on the electricity grid of Stadtwerke Jena Netze in Pöneck will also grow accordingly. How the company currently covers the city's energy requirements and what plans and concepts there are for the future of the electricity grid will be the subject of a guided tour followed by a presentation on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Interested parties are welcome to attend from 6 p.m. at Kurzackerstraße 32. A guided tour of the Pößneck-Ost substation by Tobias Nachtwey, Head of Electricity at Stadtwerke Jena Netze, is planned there. He will offer a rare glimpse behind the scenes of the energy supply and provide information about the existing technology and the equipment used. Afterwards, he will give an overview of the power supply in Pößnecks, challenges and planned modernization measures. Admission to the event is free. As the number of participants is limited, please register by e-mail to alice.grosse@stadtwerke-jena.de zwingend erforderlich.
